 | D& L Hoofprints Ranch is owned and operated by David and Lisa Shemonic. It is located in the rolling hills and rocky bluffs near the Mississippi river and Shawnee national forest of southern Illinois .We have been raising horses for nearly 15 years. We've had TWH, QH,Pinto's and Mini-Donkey's. We were introduced to the Rocky Mountain and Kentucky Mountain Horses in 2004 and bought our first one in 2005. Since then have aquired several good breeding mares. We have grown to love and appreciate the good nature, Intelligence, smooth gait and versatility of the breed. . We believe in the natural horsemanship methods of raising and training our horses, We start at birth with imprinting. We have both been certified in Advanced Level One in the Parelli Program. We mostly trail ride,but love to go to the shows. We fell in love with the weanling champion at the 2006 KMSHA International and bought him. Krusader is now ours. His sire is Holy Knight. Once he is old enough he will be an asset to our breeding program. He is winning in the show ring and captures the hearts of those who meet him. Thank you for looking at our website.
